Like a friend, you're by my side,
You're always there and in my mind,
You say you help me but you whisper lies,
You leave me here broken, all alone with silent cries.
Like scissors to paper, your silver complexion against my skin,
I take a deep breath and to your demands I give in,
In the end I'll feel guilty and ashamed,
But It'll be worth it for the feeling I've gained.
The scars are evidence of conquering myself,
Thanks to you everything's under control, I don't need help.
Still by my side, you continue to insist,
